Twenty-five years after the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland, the family of the one man convicted in the incident is seeking to clear his name. They are asking for a review of Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al Megra’s conviction by a Scottish court in 2001. The Libyan intelligence agent long protested his innocence in the attack that killed 270 people, many of them Americans. Despite a tremendous outcry, he was released from prison in 2009 on humanitarian grounds and died in 2012.
