Interview: Facebook Under Fire Over Psychology Study
A study recently released has some Facebook users up in arms.
The study conducted by researchers affiliated with the social media company, Cornell University and the University of California at San Francisco detailed how Facebook secretly manipulated the news feed of some half a million users to study “emotional contagion” found that in short Facebook has the ability to make you feel good or bad, just by tweaking what shows up in your news feed. Now, some are questioning the ethics behind the study – was it even legal?
