I-75 Closes After Fatal Crash Involving Semi
Earlier this morning around 2:30 AM, an ABC Liquors tractor trailer and BMW were traveling southbound on I-75.
While approaching the Alafia River Bridge, the two vehicles collided due to low visability. The BMW traveled off the inside shoulder of the bridge and into the Alafia River.
The tractor trailer, driven by 30-year-old Wayne Damari Waldon, overturned onto the southbound travel lanes of I-75. The driver of the BMW, 42-year-old James Dylan Proctor, died as a result of injuries, while the driver of the tractor trailer was transported to Tampa General Hospital with minor injuries.
