The Daily Rundown: Trump Visits Mexico, Ben Hur, Tropical Depression 9

Politics- In a surprise move, Donald Trump will be heading to Mexico Wednesday. This comes just hours before he is set to deliver a highly anticipated speech on immigration. Trump seeks to clarify his stand on illegal immigration, an issue that has been a centerpiece for his presidential campaign. In recent meetings, Trump has suggested he could be open to changing his approach outlined during the GOP primaries. Entertainment- Ben Hur was originally released in 1925. Since then it has been remade twice, once in 1959 and just recently. The 1959 version was considered a cinematic masterpiece in its day, with some of the largest set pieces ever assembled in Hollywood. Unfortunately today’s version was a stunning remake failure. News- In breaking news on Wednesday Governor Rick Scott declared a state of emergency for 42 counties in Florida. The order comes after the National Hurricane Center issued a Hurricane Watch for ares of Florida’s Gulf Coast. Tropical Depression 9 is practically stationary now, but is expected to gain some strength as it makes its way through the Gulf. School boards will announce school closures this evening. Trending- A 19-year-old man is accused of attacking a woman and her son over the weekend. The man was high on drugs when he made the attack. He “cannonballed” through the front window of the home and grabbed the 55-year-old woman that lives there. The attack is the second attack in this county within two weeks.
