Soccer Parents Suing FIFA For Handling Of Concussions
A group of parents and former soccer players has filed a class-action lawsuit against FIFA, the sports international governing body, alleging it hasnt done enough to protect players against concussions.
The lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in California also names the U.S. Soccer Federation and American Your Soccer Organization.
The plaintiffs arent asking for money, but theyre demanding changes to the rules -- from limiting the number of headers by youth to allowing medical substitutions while players get evaluated for potential concussions.
