Walking Dead Event Coming To Atlanta, Georgia in New Tour
A zombie apocolypse won’t be happening any time soon but you may be able to experience the thrill (at least according to Walking Dead fans) with a new tour called “The Walking Dead Escape.”
The Walking Dead Escape is an obstacle course filled with walkers, obstructions, and surprises. It’s been around for a while but it’s now coming to a place close to heart to Walking Dead fans. It will be in Atlanta this Saturday, May 31.
The Walking Dead Escape coincides with Atlanta Comic Con and The Phillips Arena will host the event. Tickets can be purchased at the official page.
If you feel the need to, you can volunteer for the event and get a free tee-shirt for your time spent with the event. You will also receive Fan Fest attendance, and a behind the scenes look at the experience.
Here’s what The Walking Dead Creator Robert Kirkman told Entertainment Weekly about the event:
“The Walking Dead Escape is something that’s been an absolute massive hit for us. It was immensely popular at New York Comic Con and San Diego Comic Con, and now we’re going wide with it. It’s a fun way to spend the afternoon, especially if you’re a big Walking Dead fan. It’s an experience unlike anywhere else. You can live the kind of things you see in the comics and show and go to a place and get chased by zombies. Or go to a place and watch your friends get chased by zombies. And nobody gets eaten, which is the best of both worlds!”
So if you’re interested, try to make it out to Atlanta this weekend. If you can’t, it will most likely come to a city near you.
