Khloe Kardashian And Lamar Odom Have Reached Settlement
It only took almost three years for the famed couple to reach a divorce settlement, but according to TMZ, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom have signed off on their divorce paperwork on Friday.
The reality TV star, 32, first filed for divorce in 2013 from the former NBA player, 36. Kardashian dismissed the divorce petition in October 2015 when Odom overdosed and was in the hospital recovering. Her lawyer, Laura Wasser, went before a judge to petition the dismissal of the case and it was granted.
But earlier this year in May, Kardashian refiled for a divorce after most of the world thought she would rekindle her relationship with Odom. Featured on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Khloe was seen halting her personal life to tend to Odom after his drug overdose, which sparked a lot of questions about the two’s future.
Friday those questions were put to rest. With a prenup and a property settlement already worked out from the first time Kardashian filed for divorce, the couple only has to wait the mandatory six month period until the divorce is officially finalized.
Moving On For The Couple
Kardashian and Odom met in 2009 at a party hosted by Odom’s former teammate, Ron Artest. After one month they got married and seemed to portray a happy life together.
It has been reported that the two are on good terms despite the divorce and Odom was informed on Thursday of Kardashian’s plans to file the papers.
Kardashian has since moved on and has been seeing NBA-pro, Tristan Thompson, 25. The two have been seen on several outings together and a source told In Touch magazine, the two have “been secretly dating for a while.”
Rumors have been flying since the two became a public couple about a week ago about a said pregnancy. Other rumors include the two being engaged and starting a family, but let’s just remember theses are said “rumors.”
Odom on the other hand is still struggling with a drinking problem after being kicked off a Delta Airlines flight for being drunk and vomiting repeatedly.
This week Kardashian launched her Good American denim line at The Grove in L.A.
