Game of Thrones ‘Two Swords’ Review

Season four of ‘Game of Thrones’ kicked off Sunday night on HBO. With almost a year between seasons you forget how good this show is and how much work is put into each episode.

Game of Thrones ‘Two Swords’ Recap:
Tyrion welcomes a guest to King’s Landing. At Castle Black, Jon Snow finds himself unwelcome. Dany is pointed to Meereen, the mother of all slave cities. Arya runs into an old friend.

How do directors David Benioff and D.B. Weiss balance so many story-lines so elegantly? Daario Naharis looks to be the most intriguing character of the season. Jaime Lannister goes from king slayer to sympathetic character and Tyrion’s lack off quick whit worked to set up the season at King’s Landing. Arya Stark gets one-step closer to putting a sword through Joffery Baratheon, Sandor “The Hound” Clegane makes this relationship work.

Characters I could do with seeing less of are Sansa Stark and Daenerys Targaryen. You would figure that if you have some dragons that would be interesting. The only interesting thing is when are the dragons going to eat Daenerys? Sansa has been whining since the first episode, enough is a enough! Doesn’t she know she is married to the coolest guy in all of Westeros?

The was a great first episode, plot threads were established and characters were put into play.

“Two Swords’ gets 8 of 10 dragons.
