Vinik’s Beach Is A Huge Hit

Don’t Miss Out On The Beach

If you are looking for something fun to do this in the next week or so, you should look no further than downtown Tampa. That is where you will find “The Beach Tampa,” which is a unique indoor beach experience for the whole family to enjoy. The Beach was made possible by the Vinik foundation, as the Vinik’s wanted to give the community something fun to do in the cool AC this summer.
The concept is pretty simple, as the beach is a massive ball pit much like the one’s found at Chuck E. Cheese and McDonald’s in the late 80’s and early 90’s, before they were all removed for sanitary reasons. Now if you are concerned about your health, the “Beach” is made up of 1 million antimicrobial balls. Currently “The Beach” is set up on the ice level of Amalie Arena with a walkway separating the beach into two side. The walkway is also a great platform for jumping off of or freefalling into all of those balls.

Due to the huge success, of this attraction there are only a limited number of walk-up tickets available, so you should arrive as early as possible to secure your spot at the beach.
Once you have your tickets the fun begins as soon as you walk up to the entrance. Staff members hand everyone some ice cream so you can cool off from that blistering summer heat. From there, you head down a walkway, where there are lockers to put all of your stuff.
Once you walk up the ramp from the lockers, the beach is finally in sight! Right away you will see several rows of beach chairs so for people to lunge around and take a break from all of the jumping and climbing t through the balls.   There is even a place to play cornhole as well as a steep hill for the little ones to run up and down. As for snacks, there is a concession stand right off of the beach with chips and drinks for sale.
The Beach is a traveling attraction, and it won’t be in town for long.  You have until August 25th to take the kids for a beach day that they will not soon forget. The next venue for the beach will be announced sometime this fall.
