Britain Calls Top Level Meeting To Discuss Ebola
Britains held a top-level government meeting to discuss the spread of the highly-contagious and deadly Ebola virus in West Africa. No cases have been found in the U-K.
But, Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond says London is considering extra precautions, but is confident it could contain the disease if necessary. At this stage, Britain is looking at what additional measures could be taken and what steps might be needed if a British citizen in the affected part of Africa contracted the disease.
Earlier this month, public health officials in the U-K issued guidance to doctors asking them to look out for possible cases in travelers returning from the affected countries.
